淺談寫(xiě)英語(yǔ)廣告詞的技巧
一 、廣告英語(yǔ)的詞法特點(diǎn)
(一) 選用簡(jiǎn)明易懂的常用詞
廣告用語(yǔ)須通俗易懂,使讀者盡快得到信息。下面是兩則賓館的廣告:
(1) take time. any time. (無(wú)論何時(shí),享受生活。)
連用兩個(gè)time,語(yǔ)言簡(jiǎn)潔、明快。
(2) the colorful world doesn’t stop when it’s nighttime. (夜晚時(shí)分,這里的世界依然五彩繽紛。)
寥寥數(shù)語(yǔ),卻能吸引旅客在此過(guò)夜,多么富有感染力的廣告語(yǔ)言。
(3) lose ounces, save pounds. (失去幾盎司,省下幾英磅。)
上面是一則減肥食品的廣告。pounds 一語(yǔ)雙關(guān),既可代表“英鎊”(貨幣單位),又可代表“英磅”(重量單位),但在本廣告中應(yīng)指“英磅”,與其前的“盎司”相對(duì)比,妙趣橫生。使讀者不難理解,該食品價(jià)廉物美又不會(huì)使人發(fā)胖。
(4) once tasted, always loved (一旦品嘗,愛(ài)之終生。)
行文淺顯易懂,簡(jiǎn)潔明了,卻能引起顧客對(duì)此食品垂涎三尺。
(5) my goodness! my guinness! (我的天啦!guinness啤酒?。?/p>
通俗的語(yǔ)言,容易上口,便于記憶,道出了飲用guinness 啤酒時(shí)贊不絕口的情景。
(二) 模擬新造詞
新造詞使語(yǔ)言變得生動(dòng)活潑,引起讀者的感知而達(dá)到促銷(xiāo)的目的。
下面是幾則典型的言簡(jiǎn)意明、巧用生造詞的戶(hù)外廣告(outdoor advertising),這些生造詞讀起來(lái)令人神往,看起來(lái)清醒悅目。現(xiàn)在,讓我們好好地領(lǐng)悟和分析一下吧:
(1) what could be delisher than fishes? (有什么比f(wàn)ishes更美味的呢?)
廣告的設(shè)計(jì)者為了造成與后面的fishes押韻,把delicious一詞的讀音和dishes一詞的拼寫(xiě)結(jié)合起來(lái),生造一個(gè)delisher
,使讀者無(wú)論從讀音和字形,都領(lǐng)悟其意,而且全句行文簡(jiǎn)單,一目了然。
(2) surefit shoe ltd. (舒飛鞋業(yè)有限公司)
surefit這個(gè)生造詞的使用,使人一下就想起surely to fit your feet (一定合你的腳), 自然穿上它便可讓你“舒舒服服地飛了”。
(3) easiphit plc (逸飛鞋業(yè)公營(yíng)有限公司)
easiphit這個(gè)生造詞,使人不加思索地想起easy to fly。言下之意就是穿上此鞋可以安逸自在地飛。
(4) ezyrub (“易擦”鞋油)
ezy 與easy同音,與rub組成復(fù)合生造詞,言簡(jiǎn)意明。既道出了產(chǎn)品的名稱(chēng)、又表述了產(chǎn)品的質(zhì)量。
(5) hi-fi, hi-fun, hi-fashion, only from sony.(高度保真,高級(jí)趣味,高尚名流,來(lái)自索尼。)
這是日本索尼公司的.音響設(shè)備廣告。hi-fi 即high fine (quality), hi-fun 即high fun,hi-fashion 即high fashion。三個(gè)復(fù)合生造詞,無(wú)論是讀音和詞形,都給人以簡(jiǎn)明易懂,耐人尋味的啟示,產(chǎn)生普通語(yǔ)言不可達(dá)到的效果。但模擬生造詞時(shí),必須音、形結(jié)合,淺顯易懂,使之比原文更簡(jiǎn)單明了,生動(dòng)活潑,切勿無(wú)理濫造,適得其反。
(三) 運(yùn)用動(dòng)感性動(dòng)詞
運(yùn)用動(dòng)感性動(dòng)詞是廣告英語(yǔ)詞法中的一個(gè)突出特點(diǎn)。因廣告的最終目的是使消費(fèi)者購(gòu)買(mǎi)其商品,所以在詞語(yǔ)的使用方面以動(dòng)感性強(qiáng)的詞語(yǔ)來(lái)產(chǎn)生更好的感覺(jué)效果。如buy和spend這類(lèi)詞在廣告英語(yǔ)中是很少見(jiàn)的,而只能運(yùn)用其他動(dòng)詞來(lái)“感化”顧客,使它產(chǎn)生買(mǎi)的意愿,從而自愿主動(dòng)地購(gòu)買(mǎi)某種商品。如下列一則有關(guān)電腦的廣告,用了十多個(gè)動(dòng)詞,每一個(gè)動(dòng)詞都代表了一種不同的服務(wù),自然把顧客感化得非買(mǎi)不可了:

這則廣告運(yùn)用了大量的動(dòng)詞構(gòu)成一幅服務(wù)動(dòng)態(tài)圖,吸引顧客購(gòu)買(mǎi)。
